Active Imagination To Be Screened At 2026 WonderCon As Part of Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival.
After its showing at San Diego Comic Con in 2025, Active Imagination will return to the convention stage in Anaheim for the 2026 WonderCon convention. The screening comes as part of the film's acceptance into the Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival which is celebrating 15 years in partnership with WonderCon this year. Filmmakers Amanda Garabedian and Jordan Fouts will take the stage for an exclusive Q&A following the screening.

Play Pretend Selected for 2025 Orlando Film Festival
With the announcement of the Orlando Film Festival's 20th annual line-up, "Play Pretend" was selected as an official selection of the festival. Due to current renovations of the festival's theater space, the screening will be delayed and instead take place with the line-up for the 2026 festival.

Play Pretend Wins Best College Fiction Short Form Film Category At Student Production Awards
At the 2025 Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter Student Production Awards, Play Pretend took home the title for Best College Fiction Short Form Film. This prestigious award is associated with The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences - most well known for their association with the Emmy Awards.

Active Imagination Selected For Boston International Kids Film Festival
Returning for its 13th year, the Boston International Kids Film Festival celebrates children's entertainment from filmmakers all around the world. Active Imagination has been selected as part of this year's festival's short film line-up and will be screening at the event in November 2025.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences - most well known for their association with the prestigious Emmy Awards - nominated Play Pretend for Best College Fiction Short Film at their 2025 Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter Student Production Awards.

Active Imagination Selected For KIDS FIRST! Film Festival 2025
Judged by kids and programmed for kids, the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival has been showcasing independent works of children's entertainment since 2000.
"The film's message is that, when you see something that seems amiss, don't be afraid to tell an adult; on that same note, don't take assumptions, make sure to have all the facts. The Directors, Jordan Fouts and Amanda Garabedian's work stands out the most. I particularly like their choice to end the story on a cliffhanger; it is the perfect ending." - Zamyra G.
