Taken during the last days of summer in 2023, these photos capture California’s Lake Cuyamaca, located just outside of the small town of Julian. A quiet getaway, this area is know for its relaxing camp sites, gentle waters (perfect for kayaking), rolling mountains, and – of course –the famous, locally made Apple Pies. Shot on 33mm film, this mini portfolio aims to capture the tranquil essence of one of California’s best, hidden getaways.
