In October of 2024, Active Imagination took home the second place prize in the Family Comedy Short category at the Beyond Entertainment Family Film Festival (BE3F) in Cape Coral, Florida. In July of 2025 the film was screened as part of the San Diego International Children's Film Festival (SDICFF) during the annual San Diego Comic Con event.
